Today was almost perfect for outside activities; it was cool and crisp but the mosquitoes were still buzzing around. I escaped most of their bites with some Off as I replaced three rhododendrons that withered during the hot dry summer while spending most of the time in partial shade. I replaced them with hearty knock-out roses; three reds and two sunny yellows. Take a deep breath; this is close to the best time of year.
